About the role
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious equipment finance specialist at a growth inflection point. You will be a senior dealmaker helping to deploy €150-€200m p.a. into equipment finance over the next five years, using our differentiated mix of products, ranging from traditional CAPEX financing and sale-and-lease back structures to our unique Pay-per-Use offering. If you have a proven record of closing sizeable financing deals across industries and want your work to move the needle, this role is for you. This high‑impact individual‑contributor position reports directly to the co‑CEO.
Your Accountabilities
Co-own the sponsor portfolio: Lead European coverage of mid-market PE sponsors — map priority funds, secure trusted financing partner status and turn them into repeat deal origination partners across their portfolios.
Sponsor and portfolio enablement: Provide investment teams and portfolio CFOs with clear, execution‑ready financing options; keep processes tight — timelines, data, economics and approvals under firm control.
Sponsor‑driven pipeline: Build a rolling pipeline of opportunities across funds and portfolio companies, focused on transactions that can be credit‑approved and closed quickly.
Execution and closing: Lead complex, multi stakeholder transactions from first discussion to funding — align sponsor, portfolio management and credit, negotiate terms and close with few iterations.
Equity friendly structuring: Position Linxfour’s Pay per Use as an equity efficient tool – converting CAPEX and utilisation risk into flexible, balance‑sheet‑friendly financing that can increase ROCE.
Leadership: Strengthen the commercial franchise — bring credibility with financial sponsors, share market and deal insight, and help shape a disciplined, high‑closing sales culture.
Your Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors
Industry Expertise: 10+ years in either asset‑based lending or leasing or in a financing role within private equity, structuring complex sponsor‑backed equipment deals and confidently navigating credit, risk and documentation across jurisdictions.
Sponsor coverage: Established relationships with mid‑market private equity sponsors and a track record of converting them into repeat originators across multiple portfolio companies.
Board-level communication & Negotiation: Strong presence with investment committees, CFOs and deal teams — able to discuss returns, capital structure and equipment utilisation in one conversation. Comfortable running deal processes across Europe – different legal systems, cultures and decision styles don’t slow you down.
Dealmaker mindset: You push deals forward, insist on clear next steps and understand that successful dealmaking builds on disciplined origination, sharp structuring and consistent follow‑through.
Data‑driven and disciplined: Methodical in coverage, CRM and funnel management — every fund, portfolio company and decision is tracked so sponsor relationships deepen and no executable deal is missed.
